Dr. Celeste Martin

Dr. Celeste Martin is the founder and owner of Temecula Valley Veterinary. Her passion for large animal medicine began at a young age, spending summers on her family's farm in Northern California, where she developed a love for horses, livestock, and the agricultural community.

Dr. Martin earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. During her final year of veterinary school, she completed her clinical training at Auburn University's College of Veterinary Medicine, where she gained extensive hands-on experience in large animal and equine medicine. Following graduation, she completed an internship at Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky, further developing her skills in equine medicine, reproduction, and advanced patient care.

In 2023, Dr. Martin founded Temecula Valley Veterinary to serve horses, goats, sheep, and other farm animals throughout the Temecula Valley and surrounding communities. Her professional interests include equine reproduction, breeding management, preventative medicine, ambulatory care, and small ruminant medicine and surgery. She also provides in-home euthanasia services for dogs and cats, helping families say goodbye to beloved pets in the comfort and privacy of their homes.

Outside of work, Dr. Martin enjoys spending time with her husband, Jameson, and their three children, Easton, Eva, and Emmy. Their family includes Dixie and Bear, two beloved dogs, Tatis the chameleon, and Skip, a retired Quarter Horse rescue who serves as a daily reminder of her lifelong love of horses. Whether she's at a baseball game, a soccer game, or caring for animals on the farm, she loves being an active part of the community she serves.

Shyanna Swearingen

She values the long-term relationships she builds with clients and considers it a privilege to be trusted with the care of the animals they love.

A lifelong animal lover, Shyanna is passionate about veterinary medicine and enjoys the opportunity to learn something new every day. She takes pride in helping patients through every stage of life, from preventative care and welcoming new babies into the world to providing comfort and dignity during end-of-life care.

Shyanna feels fortunate to be part of a team that shares her commitment to kindness, compassion, and respect for both animals and their owners. For her, the most rewarding part of veterinary medicine is the opportunity to make a difference every single day.

Abbey Armstrong

Abbey Armstrong is a Veterinary Assistant who works closely with Dr. Martin, assisting with routine procedures and helping coordinate patient care. Abbey first joined Temecula Valley Veterinary as an intern and, after a year of hands-on experience, became a valued member of the team.

Abbey earned her Bachelor's degree in Animal Science from Fresno State and plans to attend veterinary school. She has a particular interest in large animal and small ruminant medicine and enjoys the opportunity to work with a variety of species while building relationships with clients and their animals.

Outside of work, Abbey enjoys spending time at the beach or relaxing by the river. A former collegiate water polo player, she brings the same dedication, teamwork, and positive attitude to veterinary medicine that she developed through athletics.
